Moses and Elijah being annihilated is a poor description of the situation. They are simply asleep in the Grave from which they will be resurrected. The promise of a resurrection can be found in the Scriptures in the future tense... because it is still yet future.

You do miss the pivotal moment in time the work on the cross the payment made in full by the Lord Jesus but onto human traditions bending the scriptures Mr Gordon

    Mr Gordon

    your Watchtower teaches that
Moses does he have a functioning mind a consciousness that is present after his death? NO
Moses does he have a soul that exists a life force that is active after his death? NO

No mind no soul no consciousness no life force, nothing exists of Moses and Elijah they have been annihilated only a static lingering memory of Moses exists in Jehovah's mind,

    Matthew 17
17 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.

The word talking is syllalountes in the Greek it is an active verb it requires a two way interaction it means to confer and to commune how is this possible if nothing of Moses and Elijah remains but a static memory in Jehovah. Again an impossible and false word applied by God sorry Mr Gordon the scriptures do no support your traditions. No mind no soul no talking no communion.

When Peter wanted to make shelters for the prophets and the Lord Jesus that he saw he was not rebuked and told do not be foolish you did not actually see Elijah and Moses but a future representation of an event, all he was told was to hold off on the information of what he had witnessed.

    2 Kings 2
1Elijah Taken Up to Heaven 2 When the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind,Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. 2 Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.”

11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two. 13 Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.

Elijah was actually chin wagging with Jesus in heaven if he was annihilated as your traditions claim Mr Gordon then no conference could have been genuinely held between the Lord Jesus, Moses and Elijah. God was providing an impossible and false example.
