Thank you Street Talk. The Government have allowed FMG access to the BHP line. FMG still need to negotiate that access - which will not only include capital repayment at a replacement cost value consistent with Open access principals, but will also need to include train slots - of which I am assuming there will not be many. I doubt that there is anything in the regime that makes BHP have to impact their own business to satisfy FMG. OK so there will be passing lines and loops that will increase the capacity - but they will take time to sort out. To me this is a victory in name only - it will not be the panacea that FMG want - and how much money has it taken to get here anyway.
