I really on tank water so I love the rain. Amazing how you adapt to not being on mains water, you certainly don't waste water, the good thing is no water rates.
A couple of months ago I got another 10,000 litre tank, this tank will take the overflow from the main tank. Wednesday or Thursday last week we had a great downpour around 4am, continued for a few hours. The main tank filled and the excess water flowed into my new tank for the first time. Took a picture of the event, I love rain (at the moment), bought another 5000 litre tank on Friday to wash the 4WD and to water a small patch of garden.
I do feel for those who are experiencing the floods, agree with your sentiments, Chookman.
