Let's be fair. Paydirt7 has been pleasant to me.

Importantly, more (as Portsmouth, who commenced this thread, might say) 'golden rain' up in Moree, northern NSW, with 7.8mm today up until 1800 hours in the early evening. I assume we don't want floods: just a nice steady reasonable amount on three or four days each month until late October or very early November (but I'm not a graingrower).

Dubbo in central west NSW had a very useful 16.8mm to 0900 hours this morning. Terrific. But Forbes to the south only received 0.8mm (better than nothing), though it had a good August 2020 with just above 50mm.

West Wyalong NSW was even better in August 2020 with a little under 75mm, as did Wagga Wagga in the Riverina.

In Victoria, Charlton had 16 rainy days in August netting 36.6mm but so far no rain to speak of in September. Ouyen had above 40mm in August but again has been dry thus far in spring. Nhill jin the Wimmera has enjoyed 47.6mm in August but so far only 1.2mm in September. In the northeast, Wangaratta has had about 39mm between 1 August and 9 September 2020.

Seems pretty good to me: not a drought!
