Offshore strength is lifting prices locally for new crop grain, big premiums for rail sites over selling it on farm or into smaller storage sites (given its export demand) so encouraging farmers to go to GNC silos. The only issue the market is tossing up in Australia is WA considering the dry finish it looks likely they will have (but what they are losing, NSW/VIC will add) - there is good rains for VIC and NSW coming over the next 10 days which will further the yield prospects and make the crop even bigger. The rain overnight was a couple of mill, enough to keep the dust down. If the Vic Mallee and Wimmera can get under 10-20mm over the next week - it will give those guys a big boost and ensure Vic joins NSW in having a bin buster.
