We have 5 x 22,000 litre tanks (5,000 gallons each in the old money).
3 are poly, one concrete and one fibreglass.
Water out of the concrete is the coolest.
All tanks are rotated and we could spend months using the same tank.
Never been ill from the water. All are sited behind a very large shed far removed from any leaf contamination in the gutters.
Would I drink water collected in a city? Probably not given the likely pollution from the environment.
$2,000 for 4,000 litre storage seems very expensive to me.
