    we don't need to change the constitution jettie as the constitution does not specify the need for political parties or the practices of parliament.

    We don't need political parties. the dominance of the duopoly is an artefact of evolution. We can evolve further to vote parties out and replace them with independents.

    As for the federal/state conflicts, this is a matter of leadership. If we had a decent person leading the nation that leader would have the authority to gain the States confidence.

    instead what we have is argy-bargy between political parties rather than the States against the Fed Gov and vice versa.
