FLETCH AND OTHERS - COMMSEC CFD'S

after some more familiarising with the site, discussion with COMMSEC CFD'S, and trying to put on bids this morning i have learned the following -

    1. COMMSEC CFD say they cover 700 asx stocks, but that is not necessarilly the case when you go to place a bid.... when trying to place a short bid for LEIGHTON (LEI) the response was "insufficient stock available to trade"....there was a similar response for a smaller bio tech stock (MSB) not allowing me to trade.
i was able to trade MSB on CMC MARKETS but they diddled me big time on the actual close out price.

2.the PLATFORM SET UP i find quite good - you can have a watchlist with say 20 stocks... from the watchlist you can click to achieve just about anything.

    * bring up an instantaneous good sized basic real time candle stick chart
    * bring up a very simple to use order ticket
    * bring up your order list panel & open order panel
(each of these panels can be placed neatly below the watchlist)

the time real time feed is $25 per month.

so with streaming real time data on the trading platform, i think that the current end of day data feed on my market analyst charting program would be sufficient.

also FLEMSTER that 5% trading fee for a "garranteed" stop loss is graded as with the risk ie. probably the max. for a low liquid stock but very little for a very large cap stock.

    gk
