what i believe is fairly simple. the ship is sinking, so any solutions to cut some costs would be great for a short term that leads to a long term performance. IF/Future factor is risky here. if OC can eventually can change things around, why not for BOD to get more at the level where all shareholders can accept and approve.

With the performance from last year till now, uncut remuneration is not good enough with current performance. every dollar counts.
