G'day cerhob,
Not really up to speed at the present as I have been overseas for a couple of weeks (not meant to be a boast, it was one of those sad trips).
Off the cuff I would suggest there needs to be a reduction in metal stocks worldwide plus a pick up in demand and price to fire BHP. This will be needed to offset an oil price decline as the Middle East sobers up a little. There also sems to be speculation about a reduction in iron ore prices which will have a short term negative impact.
Perhaps they will find a way of dumpin Steel at full asset backing (a la OneSteel) so an improvement in returns can be claimed.
Not for me in the short term.
