Ramp up of next PLS shipment..., page-1433

Indeed most of the vessels at the ENAC anchorage group... E for eastern moorings i believe .. is the closest to the coast, are generally the smaller vessels <200 m long that like a bit more shelter when waiting are the ones that eventually go on to the small berths PH1,PH2 .
Being these Berths have a solid structural load bearing base to work from when loading and unloading... eg Craning of Shipping Containers & those important heavy Rota-Boxes
I have a current running list of 6 to 8 of those vessels waiting that will be using those berths from collecting others Copper concentrate, Containers and even the valuable scrap metal pick up. A couple of them could well slot-in between the two PLS flagged vessels. At best the public get 2 days notice by way of the various schedules available. Im sure the Sea captains know alot earlier .
The various shipping Agents has a big say how the scheduling of shipping to PH2 preforms and im hoping too Monson has an allotted time-slot already booked for the last few days of June for the CLIPPER HOUSTON
Berth PH1 & PH2 also caters for the discharge of imports too lets not forget which are always treated a priority hence they don,t spend much time out at anchorage...
Eg Machine and steelwork from Asia for one, Containers with imported goods and Imported Fuels discharge.
Most of the Iron ore Carriers >250 m to 320 m long go onto other berths further down the line, literally loading up to a set of conveyor belt configurations.
