You're missing the point, marginal producers like PLS will survive whilst fine tuning their operation and have the volume. The others will go bust in the process. Short term pain for long term gain. We don't need to take them down directly, the "enemies: as you like to put it aren't going to survive at current prices or lower - PLS will. It's destruction by stealth and we don't need to spent a single cent to buy them out or take over any high cost producers.
If these assets truly get distressed we can get them at cents to a dollar but i'm not remotely interesting in any M&A as it's much better to reinvest in Pilgangoora.
