Hi Joseph,
Let me try to explain it a bit clearer - a ship's DWT is the maximum amount of weight a ship can carry. This includes the load itself, passengers, crew, fuel, snacks, fuzzy dice etc. etc.
The shipping data from PH states in the export volume column how much was loaded and shipped form PH itself, (i.e. how much spod.) and also lists DWT for reference. For example, DANSHIP BULKER can carry 28291t (its DWT), but only loaded up 10800t of spod from PLS. We suspect that it was most likely a share load with someone else (i.e. it carried 10800t of spod from PLS, and the balance of it's load was from someone else).
Hope this makes sense!
