People who stayed in cash before GFC had options to contemplate getting in. I learned important lessons to never be fully exposed no matter if the sunshine and lollipop is amazing like a month ago when all time highs were broken. During that crisis, my portfolio of "blue chips" still went down 50+% with the difference being it had a better chance of recovery. Buying any story will get you destroyed completely with the begging bowl extended to stay solvent.
You only have to go back to 2015/16 when n the bluest of blue (BHP) was 14bucks. Cash is king in these times and that includes any on going concerns listed entities with a cash buffer to survive the bad times. If a company is losing now then be prepared.
