I'll be a monkey's uncle if GRES gave a process guarantee on a lump-sum contract.

It intrigued many of us greatly when WLF and GRES claimed they had done a feasibility to the requisite levels of confidence for implementation, yet there was very little evidence of any substantial design-testwork having been satisfactorily completed.

Lack of detail on the design criteria, very little information on the unit process testwork results and as we know, they started to consider bulk samples and pilot testwork after the "feasibility" results were published, and we were never told of those results either.

The actual dollar spend by WLF during the so-called feasibility was barely enough to cover coffee and cake in Subiaco. If GRES have guaranteed the process, then there will be a big revision engineering spend that will over-run into the tens of millions of dollars and I cant see GRES volunteering to do it. If there had been some transparency on the feasibility study and its limitations- the carve-outs and disclaimers may have provided very little confidence.

Track record? GRES and Minres are basically the same people and traditionally had shared many common services. The Windimurra front-end they built was a basket case. They are about to switch on Mt Marion and we will likely see a similar outcome. Hurried efforts to get into production and run away before anyone finds out.
