rampant shorts in the markets again..

Just noticed that there are 470,000 RIV short all of a sudden. We normally have about 100k short.I have a problem with this. We have small amounts of shorts and yet this pops up on a bad day? I think they call that share price manipulation last time i looked. One can see why the ASX had to ban it before, it completely sends a false market signal. That's approx $3.6m worth of stock stuffed into the market by none holders in 2 days.I would hope that the market turns quickly or the company pulls a rabbit. They would drive the stock to a new high trying to cover. dyor.
