I understand that the majority of their revenue comes from elective surgery services, which people (me included) choose to do in the private sector as it is of higher quality and despite significant costs of paying for a specialist doctor and their ridiculous overheads (recently ripped off at Ramsay Hospital, paying over $1000 for overheads on top of the surgeon). How much of this can be done at home? Cutting out the need for hospital beds, and therefore Ramsay. My opinion: surgery done in the hospital, but check ups and other small things done via Telehealth (with greater impact on general practitioners).

My two concerns in holding are: can ramsays services be undercut by Telehealth? And is the public sector taking away the elective surgery market share of the private sector?

Personal opinion I cant see public taking away elective profits from private, Ramsay are way to far ahead in that field already, especially reputation. Telehealth, if ypu look at specifically what Ramsay have been doing in the IT security section, you can see a lot (if not most) of the changes here in the last 1.5 years almost exclusively lean towards changes made to expand telehealth. Got a lot of confidence in Ramsay in general but especially in this context.
