OK. Seeing we can't do much talking about Freida until release of the DFS and EIS in the December quarter we seem to be stuck with Ramu, not much going on elsewhere..
Any established company worth its salt involved in battery minerals industry especially Ni & Co will be dusting off old expansion plans or drawing up new ones to be ready for the boom to come in the 20's. Big money needs to be spent by the latterite miners for new plants but expansions look all the go.
Some MCC stuff from quite a few ago mentions the possibility of an expansion, so we may be in for good news in the medium term. Also they are drilling up in them thar hills at the moment both infill and extentional drilling. Extentional drilling ?!?!?! they're got 30/35 years already.
From the first time I saw the photos of the plant and mine I never believed that it would produce only 31kt of Ni. The whole thing is ginormous and they are squeezing every last drop out of it.
Most of the infrastructure is there, maybe a couple of new autoclaves, maybe duplication of the pipeline, a bit more storage and buildings and Bobs your uncle.Plenty of money for expansions and willing lenders in China.
Let the good times roll.
OK. Seeing we can't do much talking about Freida until release...
