I've read a couple of times about 25% unemployment in Sth Africa. Surely this would be a good thing for NKP as wouldn't have to pay as much for labour. Plus Govt/people would support NKP, as they would be a potential employer.
Without announcements I would see the sp go down in the near term especially when all of these sophisticated investors drop there shares for a quick profit. (damn them as I investigated upon reading about it here and found you had to do it last Friday.)
Is it harder to do business in Sth Africa due to corruption/greed/graft? eg years ago when I worked in a bank people who used to live there would send cheques back but were very careful as theft by workers in the system was rife(so they would say). So in peoples' minds what does this risk do to your perceptions of future gain. Or better still, if this was an Australian deposit with exactly the same scenario, would the price be higher?
