I think very wise words from Bowhill. Joanne is not a lawyer or RAN’s legal team. He just doesn’t want her to misrepresent what he told her just in case. A story changes if passed around once too many times. I go further to suggest Bowhill didn’t tell her sheet. Why would he? Doesn’t benefit him at all or the company. I’m guessing he was just regurgitating what he said in the interview a few months back. The most he could probably give away is everything is on track towards break even as previously announced. Also probably that Richard knows the art dealer personally and he has a lot of Chinese friends. Which is the truth which he can give if asked directly. Got nothing to do with the share price, but if announced on HotCopper could result in some irrational trading behaviour or trading activity/speculation. Me saying it has a different impact/weight to him saying it.
That said, signs are ominous. Expect fireworks in the next quarterly.
