You are correct regarding the Mirrar's attitude towards mining jabiluka. They have a website that details their attitude, and it's pretty absolute. I believe ERA will try to work towards mining it, but it will be many years in the future. Personally, I think that in 5 to 10 years, when the deeps are producing (I hope!), and if ERA has been working with the traditional owners regarding jobs, community benefits etc, then they may soften their stance, particularly if some of the younger people start coming up through the ranks. Certainly you shouldn't be expecting it to happen.
