You indeed have a very small world-view if you genuinely believe that Australia has been flooded with migrants who have made claims for asylum.
Expand upon your geography and you will see countries who have been flooded with migrants who have made claims for asylum; as a direct and indirect consequence of our interventions/invasions.
Yet, Australia has the mentality of "not my problem" blah blah.
However, I do concede that Australia does throw around a lot of money to make this problem, someone else's problem. Australia has always been very good at that!
