That's a decent batting average @prowiz. I've been investing and trading now for 17 years and average 58.9% success rate over that period. Some years were better at +80%; others were terrible. Staying alive and in the game is critical, cutting your losers and letting your winners run (and adding to your positions) is how the big money is made. One of the issues of "trading" longer term for the average punter however is that people can tend ignore their stops and wait for their losers to recover...often they never do. My advice to newcomers is to develop a trading plan that works for you, look for patterns in the charts that minimise your entry risk and increase your probability of success...they are there. Indeed, despite much of the negativity of the CR, the pullback to around 0.20 - 0.22 has presented a favourable, low-risk entry/re-entry point, which many of us here expect will be forgotten in the coming weeks and months.
