Great discussion in here regarding where our diagnostic tool fits within the medical treatment regime.
My simple take is that it provides a quite reliable, fast and important indication as to what the patient may be be suffereing from. Then the umbrellla of relevant medical help, whether it be a GP local doctor, emergency facility at a hospital or the rest of available help in remote communities and the lower level skill of a developing countries community clinic are activated..
It helps in decision making as to where to run too first.
That can save lives.
Down the track the treating doctor or medical service point can continue monitoring the respiratory condition via the App.
Does not obviate the need for further verification of the diagnosis and treatment regime but speeds a diagnosis and if needed emergency response. Again it can save lives via a fast prelimnary diagnosis.
