What are the common concerns that Doctors have to adopt Digital tools?
The survey cited in the link has populated 4 concerns. Let’s break it down and answering it in my context:
Q1: Does it work?
Ans: Ofcourse it does. The trials have shown ResApp-Dx to be highly accurate. Moreover, Pilot by Medgate has validated this in real world settings.
Q2: Will I get paid?
Ans: Yes. You will. Patients will pay as most of them are losing employer covered insurance and looking for low cost virtual care. For those with insurance -In some countries -Insurance will cover the cost ( or co-pay). Ex: Switzerland
Q3: Will I get sued?
Ans: You get sued for in person visits anyway!?! Don’t you? Alright let’s get serious here, Not if it is used as an aid to reinforce your professional judgement. Moreover, it is CE and TGA approved tool, not some off the App Store gimmick.
Q4: Will it Work in my Practice?
Ans: It’s working in low cost clinics in Kenya.
The above is my Opinion, but the questions are common overlap of concerns.
