I’m not sure what was said in the interview, but my understanding with building an algorithm is first to have some datasets modelling to work on. Maybe some of the datasets collected from India and America would have been used to start building the algorithms- Maybe. Logic based Machine Learning ( ML), Artificial Intelligence ( A.I) needs a baseline to work on. The baseline would be a reference point from where system learns of the analysis ( Covid, yes or Covid no) and determines how far it is from the actual prediction ( Standard Deviation. All this takes time and would need continuous flow of Datasets.
There was a very interesting article about how, now, doctors are turning to A.I for fast diagnosis or screening, with reasonable accuracy, to save time - Time vs accuracy, and Time prevails.
https://apple.news/ArPAtqunrQnexFtGpE87ocAIn my opinion this is a time taking process and ironically building an A.I platform takes a lot of time, to save time in future.
For me, ResApp was always about diagnosis of respiratory ailments ( Asthma, Bronchitis, Pneumonia…
. Sleepcheck was a distraction- at that point- and should have been on back burner. Now Covid.
I was encouraged seeing Medgate clinical diagnosis was in line ResApp diagnosis. That’s exactly what they built the App for, and is working! A big Tick.
I don’t agree with the KPI on revenue at this stage, but more of a user adoption. The KPI should be in how many cases ResApp was accurate and demographics.
My views only.
