Hi all
as a long time holder, I have always maintained that the value of RAP is not the here and now. it is the value of the database and the algorithms that makes sense of the data
RAP cannot go it alone - yes they have been semi- successful in bringing platforms on board - but have not cracked the big time.
eventually one of the big players will swallow RAP up - and of course the more platforms, the more the database expands, will just edge that buyout price a little more.
so the dilemma for the BOD is whether they want to continue on current path and do it themselves, or produce a product that is efficient and workable and hand the whole lot over to a major player
eve back in the dark days ( if anyone is interested- you can check my posts going back 5 years) I had put a $2 price on buyout. this was before Covid and also the great work that has been done in the meantime/ my estimate on a buyout valuation would be around the $5 mark - that based on the Australian Peso value against the mighty US$
I have no idea whether the BOD are looking to this path, but I am sure it's in the back of their minds
from my perspective- after so long - the inevitable will happen and an offer will come along - but best case scenario is that it becomes an auction
the RAP board - despite what they have achieved are very small fish in a very big pond
I don't know the percentage of shares owned by the board v those of investors / so whether selling out cheaply (with very favorable temps to board members ) can be stopped - but to be honest anything less than $5 would be a steal
we are in a current economic cycle where there are multiple takeovers, of quality companies - despite the fact that there also massive new business startups - Covid has changed the model considerably
so any investor out there - fixate on $5
cheers ports (one of my rare posts)
