Evening all,
I don't know why some people are getting worked up over this, it's nothing new to my eyes, I've seen this before.. This device challenges the existing stethoscope and is better than something that hasn't been improved really since the 1800's but it is not practical in some of the settings that ResApp is targeting. Remember on the field diagnosis for third world populations was something RAP was either going to charge peanuts for or potentially give it away for free... the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation was initially interested in the diagnosis of pneumonia for the third world populations and hence the funding from them initially.. There are other various digital stethoscopes out there/things that require ADDITIONAL HARDWARE. The key take away that would make companies salivate over ResApps medical software is that we require no additional hardware other than the common mobile phone utilising it's speakers to provide the operator of the mobile phone to be given an instant, accurate diagnosis. You just can't get any better than that! Our device is far more affordable and practical in terms of getting it out there ASAP! IMO Doctors Without Borders etc stop wasting time and get RAP's device out there urgently, thousands of little kids are dying everyday for Christ sake! We know it works just get it out there!
"Pneumonia remains the leading infectious cause of death among children under five, killing approximately 2,400 children a day. Pneumonia accounted for approximately 16 per cent of the 5.6 million under-five deaths , killing around 880,000 children in 2016. Most of its victims were less than 2 years old."

"ResApps medical software is that we require no additional hardware other than the common mobile phone utilising it's speakers to provide the operator of the mobile phone to be given an instant, accurate diagnosis."...so what happens to RAP software when mobile/smartphone technology is superseded by more advanced technology? ....a development which may not necessarily be to far away.
