Quite correct @pilko3. Quarterly sales revenue would have been much higher than the $3K being quoted in HC posts, and on which some readers incorrectly may be making decisions.
There were 3768 downloads reported for the quarter. To believe this generated only $3K in revenue (80 cents per download) is clearly nonsense considering the Company has stated its income is somewhere between $5 and $10 per download.
As was explained in Post#47642624 of 25/9/20 Apple’s policy is that cash payments are made to app developers 45 days after the end of the month in which sales were recorded. This means the $3K cash receipts reported in the 4C relate solely to sales in June/July.
Close inspection of the chart included in the 4C provides some useful information. Total downloads to end September were stated as 3946 with 3768 achieved in July/August/September. Hence there were 178 downloads in June.
The chart indicates close to 1000 downloads for August and 2550 in September. Those figures would leave 218 downloads for July, as represented in the modified chart below.
This would mean 396 downloads in June/July generated $3K as cash received by the Company. Taken literally as $3,000 this would correspond to income of $7.58 per download. This seems a bit high considering the gross price is $7.99 and Apple would take a meaningful fee. The $3K probably was rounded up from a slightly lower figure, so an estimate of say $6.99 per download might be sensible, leaving an even $1.00 fee for Apple.
At this unit price 3768 downloads will have produced $23.3K in sales revenue for the September quarter.
Moderate growth to 3000 downloads for last month would give a total of 6550 downloads for the August/September/October period, generating about $46K in cash receipts for the current quarter. The expected growth in download rates would again see the quarter’s sales revenue higher than this. These figures would expand further if an Android version also becomes available.
