Worth mentioning too that autism is incredibly difficult to diagnose in very young children. Very hard to distinguish against other developmental disorders. I believe doctors have trouble diagnosing it confidently until you start getting to 5-6+ age range. As a side note the few people I know who have asperger syndrome have quite odd parents themselves. Hmmm....
