Exactly the article states; Sickweather’s algorithm scans social networks for indicators of illness, how are they supposed to distinguish whether or not these people are really sick if they are simply relying upon peoples statements such "i am sick" this offers no way to gauge the type and severity of illness and could easily be manipulated by people posting false statements.
