Most doctors are useless. They pull out their stethoscope and pretend to do something with it. Then they send you for all sorts of tests because they have no idea of what's wrong with the patient. It takes up a lot of patient time and costs medicare. To say X-rays are cheap is a joke. The tax payer ends up paying for the X-ray and the doctors time when you have to keep going back to him while he keeps guessing what is wrong with the patient.
If you have a diagnostic tool that can quickly and cheaply diagnose the patient ailment and narrow down the follow up tests, then why would you not use it? As a patient I would demand it rather than get fluffed around doing all sorts of tests.
