I spoke to Brian a while back and he told me Dr Udantha believes adult diagnosis is easier. I believe its to do with the cough being more pronounced in older patients and a clearer cough spectrum/wave frequency that can be analysed with greater accuracy.

I dont think they are using the same child algorithms in adults but even if they are - its based on machine learning so it would feed off itself and only gain in accuracy as more patients are tested. Another point, the adult study includes patients who are 10 years and over so I don't think there will be a massive leap in ages.

There definitely is a wider variety of diseases in adults, but if enough patients are tested with a rarer condition, the greater the accuracy in diagnosing that rare condition on new patients.
