Lanthanum is not news; it's a part of one design of anodes for NiMH batteries (which are still the most common batteries for hybrid cars; the Tesla Model S uses lithium ion, as does the Nissan Leaf). But cerium? Do you have a citation for that, please? - I'm not finding anything in Wikipedia to suggest that it has relevance to electric or hybrid cars.
Still, either way, it's good to see a bit of volume return to the market, along with an uptick in the share price.
