    Denison mines has this to say about vanadium. . . .

    Vanadium is a soft, corrosion resistant metal with good structural strength. It is used primarily as an additive to stainless and carbon steel, where it imparts strength, hardness and wear resistance. Similarly, it is used in titanium alloys for jet engines, airframes, golf clubs and nuclear fuel cycle facilities. It is also used as a catalyst in the production of chemicals such as sulphuric acid, plastic, dyes and pigments.

    The White Mesa mill produces vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), or �black flake� as it is commonly called, which is used in the production of vanadium or ferrovanadium.

    . . . .And the link below gives prices for ores with uranium and vanadium in them. Seems like V is valuable stuff! Do the WCU ores have any V? I haven't heard anything about it.
