There is a major article in today's (30th April) London Times by Ed Conway "We can end China's rare-mineral monopoly" which concentrates on the importance of rare earths - read it if you can. Conway outlines the problems with China having a near monopoly of processing RE's and advocates a more European approach to processing and stockpiling them. He details how Peak Resources are proposing to ship them from Tanzania to Teeside in North-East England to have them processed at the Wilton facility, which is well able to handle very large quantities of material. The Wilton site has deep water docks and is a lot closer to Greenland than China. Despite the Shenge connection, perhaps GML could look at this.
