Just seen news that Japan is planning to explore RE mines in Vietnam. They are desperate for RE and doing all they can to secure the supply. In the mean time they will certainly try to find alternatives but I don't think it'll happen overnight. How long people have started searching alternative for oil? How many times we've heard promising stories about fuel alternatives? But really please look at what's happening now? Americans still went for war because of oil. If there is good alternative, do you think the yanks would risk thousands of their lives to fight insurgents? IMO the RE story is an modern real life version of "ugly duckling" fairy tale. The story has just started and I hope people won't miss the boat to see the beautify swan taking off to the sky in the near future.
