If the Rare Earths MMI doesn't meaningfully represent the sector then they need to re-jig the % each RE element contributes....however, as I think they already do that, then the MMI DOES reflect the sector. So if the Index is going down FAST, so too the companies SP in that industry....and guess what.... they are!!!. The real question is, is someone pushing it down.
I remember back in 2003/06 someone was hoarding Ni and it push the price of Ni throu the roof.... could someone be doing the reverse to RE.
Sorry I love conspiracy theories....there a good balance to the other side (which is: the SP is a true reflection of the company.... lol)
