The morningstar value for small caps appear to be computer-generated via algorithms. Their human research analysts generally only cover mid to large stocks. So I wouldn't place any value on what the morningstar value is for this. It is misleading to call it a value.

PS their human research analysts often get it wrong too - their competitive advantage and roots really came from evaluation of funds, rather than being stock pickers - but at least they are independent in that they don't get paid a commission for flogging the stock to you.
