well for sure, if they can do the buyback at a lower price, then in theory that improves the NTA for the rest of the units more.
Thats the theory but I would be suspicious of either the aptitude or inclination of the responsible parties to perform actions which actually benefit the shareholders.
I have seen too many buybacks operated in a shady or incompetent way which did not work out very well.
