I think this is one of the questions that the market is deciding. I personally dont think that the RBA will raise rates. Well I think the chances that they do is about 40%. Our inflation targets are being met quite easily, the heat has gone out of the housing market. Wages arent spiralling out of control, we have good levels of confidence in the economy. The RBA might raise rates like they did before Xmas, sort of a pre-emptive measure. I dont think they will do that now. Be interesting what happens in the US with interest rates. Do they raise now or later...........time will tell. Put your bets on people.
