Hi Hotfire Re: your electricity account. I recently had a bitter dispute with my retailer regarding the constant rises on my account.
I even escalated the problem to the ombudsman, they in turn had my metre tested and it was found to be faulty.
The end result was that the meter was running 6% faster than allowed and I was duly compensated for four years of over charge.
I am certain that no further investigations are carried out for those that have smarter than me meters, its treated as a one of case, consumer be ware!
It is left up to each individual to fend for them selfs these days.
