What a shocking week for all long term holders! And after good news too!
A few words of comfort come to mind on this wet afternoon in South Australia. In fact, an extract from Morgan Housel's fantastic book entitled:
The Psychology of Money
'If you invest in a promising company you don't care about, you might enjoy it when everything's going well. But when the tide inevitably turns you're suddenly losing money on something you're not interested in. It's a double burden, and the path of least resistance is to move on to something else. If you are passionate about the company to begin with - you love the mission, the product, the team, the science, whatever - the inevitable down times when you're losing money are blunted by the fact that at least you feel like you're a part of something meaningful. That can be the necessary motivation that prevents you from giving up and moving on.'
Someone big might be selling right now, or they may not. We might get over the line into the ASX200, or we might not. We might even drop out of the ASX300, as has been suggested in another thread!
I am however, just as passionate about this company as I was last week, last month and last year. I love the science, the leadership, the team and the results.
I think the complete responder in the trial would probably agree with me.
