operations maybe I am missing something how is making redundant employees going to correlate in voiding existing agreements?
If its regarding key personal needed for implementing plant start up then put employees on leave and reemploy when the first sod is turned, and if not available make a sweetener to Iluka staff to come on board.
Would be a lot nice life style being close to Perth rather than in the desert.

The alternative is having employees being paid while no production is occurring as currently how long can that perpetuate ?
As to CEO's pay its not a concern to me , as probably the going rate, and he has the contacts so probably worth what he is being paid.

As a foot not I worked for a contractor and often we would go on site and within a week be operating a plant over name plate which the incumbent operators had previously been unable to achieve, new blood often is better.
