    Hi,

the ASX issues a a 'speeeding ticket' when a company's share price increases rapidly with higher than average volume on no news. The ASX basically says "please explain".

However, I don't think that RAU would get a speeding ticket.

There are plenty of reasons recently announced that would see the share price go up:

    1. 500,000oz gold reserve that is to be upgraded. Plus the rising price of gold, and bullish comments on the gold price from all major producers + their recent de-hedging. (i.e. their words are supported by their actions).

    2. Tungsten projects. Plus the rising price of tungsten.

    3. Recent support from large long term Malaysian investors.

    4. Comments from China regarding their mining intentions - see the Article at the top of this thread. (They want their mines to still be there in 50 years time so will not flood the market with metals - however they are happy to let the Aussies dig all their stuff up :).

I think there are some drilling results due in a few weeks too, but don't quote me on that.

Any single one of these factors could be used by the company to explain their rapidly rising share price.

    Joel
