Best to not attach too much importance to what's posted in this thread...it's really only an experimental area that Jako, and myself use to throw around a few ideas, and test out some theories before hopefully using the info to benefit the forum, and it's members.
The scans posted here are generally a work in progress, or may form part of a bigger strategy. For example...the Percentage Break scan is simply something I found interest in while analyzing what constitutes a Break above the average percentage gain level per Price bracket. The last column is a multiple of the 14 period simple moving average of the Volume, the second last column is the percentage of the closing price, relative to the High, and Low of the day, the High being 100%, the Low being 0%...the close must be greater than 50% of that range for this scan. The third column is a percentage measurement from yesterday's Close to Today's High. And so on, and so forth...
The other scans in simple terms, are searching for potential reversals points where Traders have been buying stock while prices have been falling, and respectively, the Range by Volume scan finds the Highest (Range (High - Low) multiplied by the Volume) over the last 20 bars.
