That aquisition was a case of one US defence Co acquiring another domesticaly within the US, even if it was just a walk in the park for them to gain US aproval from there regulatory authority for an international Co like MST it would still I believe have to get Ausie FIRB approval as well as share holders.
I for one would like to see MST gain more value through growth with preferably some manufacture made here for some time yet to come......
and I don't think the Aus Govt would mind bosting about it's self having one of the worlds leading defence Co's in it's stable......the presteage for the Aus Govt (what ever flavour) in creating an industry of this nature would be of emense pride in job creation and revenue to say the least and of international importance as a leaverage
in any position of trade or diplomacy for that matter,
just imagine some country that doesn't see things the way Aus and the international community would like, and that has MST in there defence forces........after all this is what the US practices.
I would not like to see any thought of T/O untill SP has done a lot of growth, certainly not at today's prices that's for sure
