what really gets me (and I started a thread about this about 5 months ago) is we are supposed to be clever these days and learnt from past mistakes!
its obvious its not really working.. the inflation this time was not just due to boom times.. it was more profound.. supply issues plus commodity prices ( incl energy: electricity, fuel gas etc)
but no, you would think we were in the middle of the latter half of the 20th century, when deregulation of currencies and markets was newer
