If that is your serious belief then what is the point of investing in gold and waiting for serious inflation?

The aussie dollar gains will meet any rise in USD POG.

I am not sure where you are coming from. I mean one person is allowed to be right on some things and wrong on others: who has a 100% track record.

But you say he is wrong in saying that its not difficult from seeing the US equities having a +ve trajectory, and then you say that for Australia its just a temporary recession, and intimate that china will save us.

I know that that was just some brief thoughts, but they just don't hang together.

Australia has a massive and growing debt, and the fed govt has just about guarenteed the lot - private, state etc, etc.

Anyways, he didn't say that we should do it 'currently', but in the future. I can see it.

But again if you are so sure that we won't QE why your big push on inflation, everything we have goes through the currency wringer and surely with the US and UK continuing QE but not us, then POG in AUD may barely move.
