Most business will spread the charge within a natural increased price that reflects their legitimate business costs but yes some small businesses don't have the price elasticity of 1 or 2%. Where an increase is not possible so will eat the cost or spread it elsewhere across the business. Certainly won't affect the business of TYRO , Visa , mastercard et al and definitely won't benefit the consumer.
